Cops in Queens are investigating a violent stabbing at a bus stop on Monday morning that left a woman seriously injured in what is believed to be an unprovoked attack.
Police are looking for a male suspect behind the bloody assault that occurred just before 6:20 a.m. on March 16 near 94th Street and 23rd Avenue in East Elmhurst, where the Q49 makes stops. The location is just a few blocks south of LaGuardia Airport.
According to police sources, the male perpetrator approached the 30-year-old woman and went on the attack, stabbing her several times in the back and left arm.

The perpetrator, who wore all black clothing, fled the scene on foot eastbound along 23rd Avenue.
Officers from the 115th Precinct responded to the scene along with EMS, who rushed the wounded woman to Elmhurst Hospital. She was treated for her injuries and is listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.

Through March 8, the 115th Precinct reported 59 felony assaults year-to-date, down 33% from the 88 counted at the same point in 2025.
