9-year-old boy fatally struck by school bus in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (WABC) — A 9-year-old boy was fatally struck by a private school bus in Brooklyn on Friday morning.

The bus was making a left turn from Lee Avenue to Lorimer Street in Williamsburg just after 8:15 a.m. when it struck the boy.

He was pronounced dead at scene.

The operator of the bus initially left the scene but returned. He apparently didn’t realize he had struck the boy.
