Detectives in Manhattan are looking for the perpetrator who stabbed a man outside of a Chinese restaurant in Midtown early on Wednesday morning.
Police said the incident unfolded at around 2:05 a.m. on June 3 outside of 360 West 42nd St., near 8th Avenue.
Sources familiar with the investigation reported that the victim, a 42-year-old man, got into a verbal dispute. The beef turned bloody, cops said, when the unidentified perpetrator stabbed the victim in the chest.
Following the attack, the perpetrator fled eastbound along West 42nd Street, the sources said.

Officers from the Midtown South Precinct and EMS rushed to the scene. Paramedics brought the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition and is expected to survive. The weapon used in the attack has not yet been recovered, police said. So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.
Police said the unknown male suspect was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark-colored pants.
