Winter storm deaths: Retired NYPD officer dies while shoveling snow at Nassau County church

FLORAL PARK, Long Island (WABC) — A retired NYPD officer died while shoveling snow at a church in Floral Park.

Roger McGovern, 60, an usher at Our Lady of Victory Church, collapsed while shoveling on Sunday.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The church held a virtual rosary service on Sunday night.
