Fire breaks out on Brooklyn Bridge amid Macy’s fireworks display

BROOKLYN (WABC) — The FDNY responded to a rubbish fire that broke out on the Brooklyn Bridge as the Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks were going off.

The fire broke out after 9:30 p.m. Saturday on the Manhattan-bound side of the span and was likely caused by the display.

There are no reports of any injuries.

Videos quickly began circulating online showing a large fire on the bridge.
