FILE – Police investigate a crime scene

A young man was fatally stabbed inside a waterfront park in Queens Thursday night, police said.
According to law enforcement sources, the incident occurred inside Little Bay Park in Bayside, Queens, at around 8:30 p.m. on June 11. Officers from the 109th Precinct responded and arrived at the scene to find a male, approximately 17 to 25 years old, with a single stab wound to the back.
EMS arrived and brought the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens in critical condition; he was later pronounced dead.
Police said the victim was stabbed following a dispute involving a large group of people. Around 20 people were seen fleeing the crime scene.
According to a WABC article, nearly 20 of the suspects were seen on mopeds; two mopeds were found near the victim.
No weapons were found at the scene, police said, and the victim’s identification is not yet known.
No arrests have been made, but the investigation remains ongoing.
