Detectives in Brooklyn are investigating a deadly stabbing at a restaurant early on Wednesday morning that claimed a customer’s life.
According to police sources, the deadly incident unfolded at Kennedy Fried Chicken, located at 2788 Fulton St. in Cypress Hills, at 12:50 a.m. on May 27.
Sources familiar with the investigation report that the victim, an unidentified man believed to be in his 40s, had been eating inside when he got into an argument with an unknown assailant.
The dispute turned physical and spilled outside, where the unidentified man was stabbed in the chest and the back. The unknown assailant then fled the scene; a description of the murderer was not immediately available.

An on-duty sanitation worker came upon the aftermath of the attack and called 911. Officers from the 75th Precinct and EMS rushed to the scene to find the victim lying in the street.
EMS rushed the victim to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He remains unidentified and is currently being considered a John Doe.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing, police sources said.

Through May 24, the 75th Precinct had reported seven homicides year-to-date, up from four at the same point in 2025. Felony assaults were also up 9.3%, from 396 last year to 433 this year.
