Police released on Wednesday a sketch of a man who sexually assaulted and robbed a woman inside a Bronx home last week.
According to police sources, the disturbing incident unfolded at around 7 p.m. on April 17 inside an apartment building near West 164th Street and Ogden Avenue in Highbridge, in the confines of the 44th Precinct.
Law enforcement sources said the suspect approached the 55-year-old woman and went on the attack, beating and then raping her.
During the horrendous assault, cops said, the perpetrator kicked and punched the victim multiple times throughout her head and body. Following the assault, he stole $50 in cash and removed a yellow metal chain with a metal cross pendant from her neck before fleeing on foot.

The victim was left in immense physical pain and suffered bruising throughout her body. She was rushed to a local hospital for treatment and was last listed in stable condition.
Sources familiar with the investigation say she did not live in the building where she was attacked.
The man wanted for the assault is described as approximately 30 to 40 years of age, standing about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with a medium build and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a gray NY Yankee hat.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
