Police in Brooklyn are investigating the death of a man who was brutally stabbed following a late-night argument with a woman on Tuesday night.
According to law enforcement sources, the incident occurred outside a pediatric dental office located at 1140 Eastern Pkwy. in Crown Heights just after 11 p.m. on April 14.
Officers from the 71st Precinct, responding to a 911 call about an assault at the location, arrived at the scene to find 38-year-old Terrence Smith, of Tapscott Street in Brownsville, with a stab wound in his abdomen.
EMS arrived and rushed Smith to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
Police sources reported that witnesses saw the victim arguing with a woman before the situation escalated to violence.

Right now, it is unclear what led to the argument or if the pair knew each other, police reported.
Police said they are searching for a woman with a dark complexion in connection with the incident. So far, no arrests have been made, but the investigation remains ongoing.
