WEATHER SUMMARY
Clouds will start to increase during the second half of the day, with high temperatures reaching the low to mid 30s. Temperatures will remain steady overnight with mainly cloudy skies as a cold front approaches from the west. That front will push through Sunday morning, and temperatures will fall through the 30s for much of the day tomorrow.
A couple of isolated snow showers will be possible on Sunday, mainly in the Adirondacks and western Mohawk Valley, but a flurry cannot be completely ruled out across the Capital District as well. Otherwise, there will be more clouds than sun, before skies start to clear out Sunday night into Monday. It will be a dry but chilly start to the work week on Monday with high temperatures around the freezing mark.
Snow will be possible again on Tuesday as a quick-hitting system enters the region. Steady light snowfall could be around for a time during the day before potentially mixing with some raindrops Tuesday evening. Any precipitation will taper off Tuesday night. Nuisance to light snowfall totals will be possible across the area, potentially leading to minor difficulties as you hit the road for holiday travel.
Things are looking dry for Christmas Eve with high temperatures in the mid-30s. Mostly cloudy skies are expected for Christmas Day with a chance for a couple of rain showers during the afternoon and evening.
