‘It Was a Good Run:’ Aqueduct Racetrack to close after 132 years

OZONE PARK, Queens (WABC) — Sunday marks the end of an era at Aqueduct Racetrack.

After 132 years in operation, the track will close.

The horses will be on the track one last time, for a final race titled, ‘It Was a Good Run.’

Thoroughbred horses will be relocated to the newly modernized Belmont Park track, home of the Belmont Stakes.

A recently opened casino occupies the space next door.
