Police in the Bronx are looking for a machete-wielding madman who attacked and seriously wounded two men in a bloody assault early on Tuesday morning.
According to police sources, the startling incident unfolded outside of an apartment building located at 2310 Walton Ave. in Fordham Heights just after 3 a.m. on April 28.
Cops say the unhinged suspect got into some kind of dispute with two men before getting hold of a machete and whacking both men with the big, sharp blade.
Following the bloody hack attack, the perpetrator fled the scene on foot.
Officers from the 46th Precinct soon arrived on the scene and found a 34-year-old man with a slash wound to his head and a 39-year-old man with a gash on his left hand.
EMS rushed both men to Saint Barnabas Hospital for treatment; they are expected to survive.
So far, no arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.
