Police are looking for the father of a baby found abandoned but alive in Times Square late Tuesday night.
Cops converged upon the “Crossroads of the World” at around 11 p.m. on April 21 after receiving a 911 call reporting that a young child had been found by herself in a stroller at the corner of West 44th Street and 7th Avenue.
Responding officers from the Midtown South Precinct found the child, a 6-month-old girl, by herself in a stroller. The tot was conscious and alert; she was rushed to Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital and listed in stable condition.
Police are looking into how the baby arrived in the area and who exactly abandoned her there. Detectives are looking at surveillance footage from the area.
Sources familiar with the investigation report that police are searching for the baby’s father, believing he may have been the one to abandon her.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
