Police are looking for a brute who allegedly punched and hospitalized a senior in Brooklyn during a brutal assault last week.
According to authorities, the incident unfolded near Flatbush Avenue and Atlantic Avenue not far from the Barclays Center at around 12:25 a.m. on March 31. Cops said a 68-year-old man was approached by the suspect and initiated a verbal dispute. When the senior attempted to flee, the assailant chased him down and punched him in the face.
The victim was sent tumbling to the ground, causing him to suffer several lacerations and a fracture to the jaw. EMS rushed him to Methodist Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The perpetrator was last seen wearing a red shirt with blue jeans. So far no arrests have been made, but the investigation remains ongoing.
Felony assaults are up in the confines of 78th Precinct, where this attack took place. According to the latest NYPD data, as of April 1, there have been 46 incidents of felony assault so far this year, 21.1% higher than the same time in 2025. The incident occurred just days before Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch announced a decline in major crimes across the city.
Police have released surveillance images of the suspect and are asking the public to come forward if they recognize him.
