Coney Island’s Luna Park, Cyclone rollercoaster opens for 2026 season

CONEY ISLAND (WABC) — Luna Park in Coney Island officially reopened for the 2026 season today, welcoming visitors back to the historic beachfront amusement park in a cheery celebration.

The festivities kicked off with the annual Egg Cream Christening of the Coney Island Cyclone rollercoaster on Saturday, an annual tradition.

The iconic wooden rollercoaster turns 99 this year.
