Manhattan DA now investigating California Rep. Eric Swalwell for sexual assault allegations, sources say

NEW YORK (WABC) — The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is now investigating California Representative Eric Swalwell.

A former staffer for the Democratic lawmaker claims Swalwell assaulted her while at a hotel in New York City.

Swalwell has denied any misconduct.

A spokesperson for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office released a statement saying,

“We urge survivors and anyone with knowledge of these allegations to contact our Special Victims Division at 212-335-9373. Our specially trained prosecutors, investigators, and counselors are well-equipped to help you in a trauma-informed, survivor-centered manner.”
