A man was shot to death near the north end of Central Park in Manhattan late Tuesday night, police said.
NYPD officers responding to a 911 call found the 36-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds outside a building at West 110th Street and Central Park North in Harlem just before 10:30 p.m., according to officials.
Police said emergency medical workers took him in critical condition to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officials have not released his name as they work to notify his family.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and they have not made any arrests yet in the case. They also have not yet released a description of a potential suspect.
NYPD data shows homicides and shootings so far this year in the 28th Precinct, which covers Central Harlem, are about level with their numbers at the same point in 2025. Through March 29, there was one homicide and one shooting each in both years, according to the data.
