Police in Brooklyn are investigating a stabbing on Monday night that left a man hospitalized.
According to authorities, the incident occurred outside the Van Dyke NYCHA apartment complex at 390 Sutter Ave. in Brownsville at around 11:37 p.m. on March 30.
Cops say two men were involved in an argument when one of them brandished a knife and stabbed the victim, a 43-year-old man, in the left shoulder.
While it is not exactly clear what sparked the stabbing, according to police, both the victim and the perpetrator knew one another.
The perpetrator — who was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and gray sneakers — fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction after the attack.
Officers from the 73rd Precinct and EMS responded to the scene. The victim was transported to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition and is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
