Two teenage girls shot in front of McDonald’s in Coney Island, group of kids sought

CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn (WABC) — Two teenage girls were shot in front of a McDonald’s in Coney Island on Tuesday night.

Police said shots were fired around 4:30 p.m. on Mermaid Avenue.

A 16-year-old girl was shot in the leg, and a 14-year-old girl was shot in the foot, police said.

Both victims are expected to survive.

Police said they are searching for a group of kids who ran away after the shooting.
