SOUTHAMPTON, Long Island (WABC) — A collection of dead birds found on Long Island’s East End earlier this week is raising concerns about the bird flu.
Officials with the Town of Southampton said dozens of dead geese were discovered along Sagg Pond.
Experts believe they are the latest victims of a bird flu outbreak.
Officials warn if you come across any dead birds to stay clear — and that includes pets too.
You can also report any dead bird sightings to state environmental officers.
