A disgruntled ex-employee of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center was arrested Saturday after walking into the Manhattan hospital and claiming he was carrying a bomb, police sources said.
The man – described as an emotionally disturbed person – acted erratically after arriving at the York Avenue hospital on the Upper East Side around 12:05, saying, “I have a bomb in my bag,” the sources said.

The NYPD’s bomb squad responded but determined it was a hoax.
The man was carrying a cement statue, sources said.
The bomb scare prompted a massive police response.
No other information on the ex-hospital worker was immediately available Saturday.
