Crews discover what appears to be human remains in Queens

BROAD CHANNEL, Queens (WABC) — Crews discovered what appeared to be human remains in Queens.

The remains were spotted late Friday afternoon in the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge.

Members of the NYPD Crime Scene Unit were parked along Cross Bay Boulevard and were seen with a large paper bag for collecting evidence.

The Medical Examiner says it is too soon to know if the remains are human but has determined they came from a single body.
