“Luigi: The Musical” takes the stage at The Green Room 42 in Midtown on June 15

MANHATTAN (WABC) — A viral musical comedy is coming to New York City this summer.

A one-night production titled “Luigi: The Musical” is headed to the Green Room 42 for a reading on June 15.

The show, which sold out its San Francisco run, was inspired by the true story of inmates Luigi Mangione, Sean Diddy Combs and Sam Bankman-Fried sharing time at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.

Part satire, part social commentary, the production has become a hit for its sharp take on power, celebrity, and America’s fascination with scandal.
