Mother killed, teenage son hurt after being stabbed inside their apartment in the Bronx

THE BRONX (WABC) — A mother was killed and her teenage son was wounded after they were stabbed inside their apartment in the Bronx.

It happened Saturday around 6:30 on Sherman Avenue. Police say Juan Rivas, 45, stabbed his girlfriend in the neck, torso and back killing her.

Rivas is also accused of stabbing the woman’s 16-year-old son in the neck and back. He is currently in the hospital in stable condition.
