NEWARK (WABC) — House fires claim the lives of roughly 40,000 pets each year in the United States. Most of those deaths are due to smoke inhalation.
That’s why many firefighters are trained in pet CPR, including members of the Newark Fire Department, who educate the public to help save the lives of our beloved pets.
For much more about pet CPR and safety-proofing your home for pets, tune in this Saturday, February 7th, at 7:00 p.m., for Operation 7: Save a Life.
ABC7’s annual fire safety special is hosted by Bill Ritter.
