1 person dead in apartment fire in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn

SHEEPSHEAD BAY, Brooklyn (WABC) — One person died in a fire in an apartment fire in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn early Thursday.

The flames broke out in a second floor apartment on Ocean Avenue just before 2 a.m.

The victim was found in the apartment. That person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Firefighters encountered clutter in the apartment. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
