“The Revenant” is returning to theaters this awards season! 20th Century Studios is releasing New Regency’s Academy Award-winning film “The Revenant” exclusively in select IMAX theaters to celebrate the movie’s 10th anniversary.
Director Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s film tells the brutal survival story, based on true events, of a frontiersman in the 1800s who is left for dead and must survive a brutal winter in the wilderness before returning to avenge his son’s death.
“The Revenant” was released in 2015 and earned over $532 million at the global box office. It was honored with three Academy Awards: Leonardo DiCaprio for Best Actor, Alejandro G. Iñárritu for Best Director and Emmanuel Lubezki for Best Cinematography. “The Revenant” also stars Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson, Will Poulter and more.

DiCaprio, who won his first Oscar for his portrayal as Hugh Glass in “The Revenant,” is nominated again for an Academy Award for his work in “One Battle After Another.”
Fans can watch “The Revenant” in IMAX theaters February 26 and March 1.
