Actor and director Timothy Busfield was spotted out of his orange jail jumpsuit for the first time since facing allegations of child sex abuse.
Busfield, 68, was photographed Wednesday dressed in an all-black outfit and holding a water bottle as he was being picked up by a limo from his ritzy $750 a night New Mexico Airbnb, according to TMZ.
“The West Wing” actor was joined by a member of his legal team, as his supportive wife, Melissa Gilbert, was seen waving goodbye to him from the posh estate.

He left the Airbnb to deal with something related to his case and will return to the rental property Wednesday night, sources told the outlet.
Prosecutors have charged Busfield with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse for allegedly inappropriately touching two child actors on the Fox series “The Cleaning Lady,” which he has denied doing.
The abuse began in 2022 when the two young actors, both boys, were just 7 years old, court documents alleged.
An investigation began in November 2024 after a physician notified cops that they suspected sexual abuse and grooming after examining one of the children at the University of New Mexico Hospital, the criminal complaint said.
Busfield was also accused by prosecutors in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl “several years ago” in Sacramento, California, in a motion filed Jan. 14.
Judge David Murphy ordered on Tuesday that Busfield be released on his own recognizance until the trial.
The Emmy-winning actor was told he could leave the state to live at home. He will also be supervised upon his release by a pretrial service in Albuquerque.
Several of Busfield’s former co-stars, including Ken Olin, Patricia Wettig, and Peter Horton, have penned letters of support testifying to his character, according to Deadline.
Busfield’s attorneys have been adamant in court filings that there is a lack of evidence of the alleged crimes.
