The National Weather Service released a special weather statement at 5:31 p.m. on Friday until 9:45 p.m. for Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Washington, Schoharie, Schenectady, Albany, Rensselaer, Greene, Columbia, Ulster, Dutchess and Warren counties.
“Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing this evening, with lingering showers expected to mix with or change over to snow before ending. Any roads that remain wet due to ice and/or snow could become slippery as temperatures drop below freezing. Please use caution if traveling this evening,” explains the weather service.
